Lincoln Festival of History: Museum Zone

Step into history and meet the mighty Romans!

Delve into the Lincoln’s rich history, unravel mysteries and discover real artefacts from the city’s past.
Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May
10am to 4pm

Meet the Romans themselves in the museum’s atrium, where the legion has returned to ‘Lindum Colonia’. Explore some of the many Roman treasures that have been unearthed across the city and county in the archaeology gallery.
See the mysterious Norton Disney dodecahedron; found in the Lincolnshire village in summer 2023, it will be on display in its home county for the first time.

Journey under the city streets to find the hidden Roman gateway with a guided Posterngate tour – book early to avoid missing out.

Entry to the museum is free. A cost may occur for some activities.
